Dr. Ernest O. Sutton, III is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He completed his Pediatrics Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Sutton is married with six children. He is an elder in his church. He enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing at the beach, and following the University of Tennessee Volunteers and Arsenal Football Club. Dr. Sutton has been with Greenville Pediatric Services since 2001.
Dr. Thomas E. Thielen is a graduate of The Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned his M.D. His postdoctoral education includes a Pediatric Internship and Residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital (now ECU Health). Dr. Thielen is a Fellow of the... American Academy of Pediatrics, a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics, and a Member of the North Carolina Medical Society, the Pitt County Medical Society, and the North Carolina Pediatric Society. He has been with Greenville Pediatric Services since 2008.
Dr. Thielen is married to his high-school sweetheart, Jennifer, who he met when they both attended the South Carolina Governor's School for Science and Mathematics. They have raised 3 children and numerous pets. Dr. Thielen has martial arts trained in Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and Isshinryu Karate. He also enjoys CrossFit, civilian marksmanship, all manner of games (card games, tabletop games, board games, computer/console games), as well as sci-fi/nerd culture.
Dr. Shannon Kinlaw graduated with a B.S. and B.A. from Southern Nazarene University. She earned her M.D. from the Brody School of Medicine at ECU and completed her postgraduate residency training at Vidant Medical Center. Dr. Kinlaw is a Fellow of the American Academy... of Pediatrics and a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics. She is also a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
Dr. Kinlaw is married and enjoys spending time with her family, friends and beloved black lab, “Dowdy.” She is an ECU Pirate fan who also enjoys running and participating in her church.
Dr. Leslie B. Peedin is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a B.S. in Biology. Her medical degree was earned from The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Her postdoctoral education included a Pediatrics ...Residency as well as a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A native of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Dr. Peedin returned to eastern North Carolina and worked in ECU Health's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as a Neonatologist for 8 years before joining the Greenville Pediatrics staff in January 2023. Dr. Peedin is married and has one daughter. Her extended family includes many pets including 2 dogs, 2 bunnies and a horse. When not working, Dr. Peedin enjoys relaxing by horseback riding, running, and going to the beach or mountains.
Dr. Benjamin Copeland was born and raised in Beaufort, North Carolina, and is a proud graduate of East Carteret High School, East Carolina University, and the East Carolina University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia. ...
Before joining Greenville Pediatrics, Dr. Copeland enjoyed 15 years in private practice in New Bern, NC, followed by 5 years as an Associate Professor with ECU Pediatrics.
He is married to his wife, Michelle, and they have three wonderful children! In his free time, Dr. Copeland loves hunting, fishing, and spending time with his Chocolate Lab, Remi.
Tina Seemann is a graduate of Ohio University, where she received her B.S. in Athletic Training, and Quinnipiac University, where she earned her M.S. in Physician Assistants Studies. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and is a Certified Physician Assistant. Tina has been with Greenville... Pediatric Services since 2009.
Tina is married with two children. She is an active member of her church, and enjoys working with the children's ministry. She is a former high school athletic trainer, and in addition to caring for patients, Tina spends some of her free time teaching Zumba®.
Matthew Halloran is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He grew up between Cincinnati, OH, Lake Mary, FL, and Cary, NC. Matthew graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with his Bachelors in the Science of Nursing. Afterward, he moved to Raleigh, NC, and was an RN in an Intermediate Care Unit for 2 years. He then returned to Charlotte... to work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit for the past 5 years. During that time, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with his Masters in the Science of Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner, as he felt drawn away from the bedside and to broaden the age group he served. He is also BLS and ACLS certified, as well as Certified Critical-Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)-Alumnus. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Matthew is an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and loves to watch all different kinds of sports (football, basketball, soccer, etc.). He also loves to travel, and his favorite destination is "the happiest place on Earth," Disney World (he is truly a kid at heart). He lives in Winterville, NC, with his wife, Abby, his son, Brayden, and his daughter, Madelyn. He is thrilled to have joined the Greenville Pediatric Services team and looks forward to continuing to provide excellent care to our patients.
Allison Buck is a graduate of the Family Nurse Practitioner program through United States University of San Diego, CA. A native of Long Grove, Iowa, Allison graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School in NC. One of the longest term staff members of Greenville Pediatrics, Allison began working at Greenville Pediatrics at the age of 18 while beginning her college career. ...Allison worked at Greenville Pediatrics as a registered nurse and held the position of Nurse Manager, while taking course work through East Carolina University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and continued obtaining her Master’s Degrees in Nursing through United States University. After graduating from East Carolina University, Allison joined the Pediatric Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse at ECU Health before choosing to come back to her first medical home, Greenville Pediatrics. Alison is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, she joined the staff as a mid-level provider in January, and she is currently accepting new patients. Allison is married with three daughters and enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening and painting, but most of all spending time with her family.
Cindy Keel is a dual board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care) and Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years of experience at ECU Health Medical Center. She began her career as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse, spending 10 years at the bedside before advancing to PICU Nurse Practitioner in 2005. She continued providing expert care to critically ill infants and children in the PICU until ...2021, when she transitioned to newborn medicine. She served as a Newborn Nurse Practitioner until retiring from the hospital setting in December 2025.
Cindy is now excited to bring her extensive pediatric expertise and compassionate, family-centered approach to outpatient pediatric care. A graduate of East Carolina University's School of Nursing, Duke University’s Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Family Nurse Practitioner program, she has specialized expertise in newborn care, pediatric critical care, and pediatric cardiac care. Throughout her career, she has held leadership, education, and mentorship roles.
Outside of work, Cindy enjoys traveling, spending time at the beach, and being with her husband, two children, and two French bulldogs.
